How to use the Pump2Baby bottle?
1. Place your baby in the right position and make sure his/her head is tilted with a pillow or your arm.
2. Connect the Pump2Baby Bottle to a Medela breast pump (all models are compatible) and start hands-free pumping with a pumping bra. This would help you attend to your baby while pumping.
3. Once you have some milk in the bottle, start feeding your baby with the nipple.
4. If you are concerned about baby sucking in the air inside the tubing and nipple, you can position the nipple below the bottle, tilt the nipple upwards, and gently squeeze the nipple so that the air can get out from the nipple.

Does my baby suck milk directly out of my breast using the bottle?
No. You still use a breast pump to pump milk out while the Pump2Baby Bottle collects the milk. Your baby doesn't need to suck as hard as nursing because milk naturally flows downward. However, there is a valve on the nipple to ensure your baby paces his/her own feeding.
What pumps are compatible?
The Pump2Baby Bottle is directly compatible with Medela, Evenflo, Ameda, and Ardo pumps. It can also be used with Spectra and Hygeia pumps with a Maymom Baby Bottle Thread Changer.
Would I know how much milk my baby had?
No. The Pump2Baby Bottle mimics nursing and like nursing, you don't know how much milk your baby had. However, having your baby around will stimulate milk letdown and make pumping more effective.
Would my baby suck air in using the bottle?
No. The Pump2Baby Bottle maintains atmospheric pressure during pumping therefore milk always go downwards and your baby would not suck air in. Here is a little video showing how to get rid of the air that was inside the tubing and nipple before feeding your baby.
Can I adjust tubing length?
Yes. You can cut the tubing to any desired length based on your most comfortable position.
What if my baby eats faster than I could pump?
We suggest you buy 2 Pump2Baby Bottles and a Y connector so that you can combine milk pumped from both sides and ensure there is always enough milk for your baby.
What if my bottle leaks?
Please check and ensure all the connection points are tight: Push the tubing tightly onto the post; tighten the nipple insert into the nipple ring; tighten the bottle cap onto the bottle. If you are still experience difficulties, please email us at contact@lacteck.com for support.
How to clean the bottle and tubing?
Please download the product instruction here. For cleaning the tubing, fill an infant medicine syringe (not included) with warm soapy water and push into the tubing. Rinse under running water and hang to dry.
Can I switch the nipple on the Pump2Baby Bottle to other brands?
No. The nipple on the bottle has a valve to prevent leaking so we don't recommend switching to other brands of nipples.
Oh my goodness Juan, I LOVE THIS! I have never enjoyed pumping, I never felt a bond so strong with my baby while feeding him. This goes beyond facilitating the feeding process. This goes deeper. My son Enjoyed it! I enjoyed it, I can't wait for our next feeding. Thank you for your pure brilliance!

I absolutely love this product! It's a must for all pumping mothers. This makes traveling so much easier. I never have to worry about packing enough milk or worry about trying to keep it cold. It saves so much time!! I don't have to pump then feed I can do it all in one easy step! One of my favorite things was when we were in the car unable to pull over I just sat there and pumped and fed my baby! I keep this in my diaper bag at all times! Will be buying another so I'm never without!! This will be a gift I buy for all expecting mothers! Thanks for such a great product!! ♡♡

Thank you so much for allowing me to beta test the LacTeck Pump2Baby Bottle! We’ve taken it on two big trips already and it has been a wonderful way to save time. Our little one is 5.5 months old and he nurses every 2 hours on the dot. You can imagine that this would create a problem while trying to do 7-9 hours of driving a day while traveling the country. Instead of having to stop every two hours and nurse him, every other feeding I would do with the LacTeck Pump2Baby Bottle. He got to a point where he’d get all excited and reach for the cap with the nipple and just hold it himself while he’d happily look out the window. I kept a large zip lock with a little bit of water in it and would throw everything in there when I was done pumping and just shake it up, then at the next stop I’d dump the water and wipe it down so it would be ready for the next use. The LacTeck Pump2Baby Bottle really saved us a lot of unnecessary stops on our big “meet the whole family” road trip and I’m so grateful for it!

GREAT idea. Instead of having to pull over or worry whether you've pumped enough bottles for your trip you can just carry along your travel pump sit in the back seat and just place that in their mouth, Very very convenient.

My son was a bit curious at first but as soon as he saw the nipple he instantly latched on. It was very helpful.

Thank you guys so much for inventing this amazing and affordable product. I began exclusively pumping after weeks of failed latch attempts while I watched my baby rapidly lose weight. After starting to pump, he began to thrive. We are now 6 months in to pumping and I just used the pump2baby for the first time. This product has already changed the game in terms of clean up and time spent pumping and then feeding. Not to mention, it is so beautiful to see the milk flowing straight from my breast into his mouth at the same time. I feel like I can not only match but exceed my goal of 1 year EPing. Thank you so much.

I was thrilled to use the Pump2Baby Bottle on a road trip with my 9 month old son. It definitely came in handy during some of our long 3+ hours drives since I needed to pump, he needed to eat, and we didn't want to pull over. It's an incredibly innovative design and I can't wait to see what else LacTeck comes up with!

The pump2baby bottle is a game changer! I have a 4 month old who is exclusively breastfed. I have a heavy let-down, especially in the mornings. I used to pump every morning before feeds, so he would be able to tolerate it better. This saves me so much time. I am able to pump and feed him simultaneously, allowing me to cut my time in half! I have been looking for a way to do that for some time. This is a product every breastfeeding mama should have! It would make a perfect baby shower gift, with a price you can't beat. I'm loving it!

It works well. My LO is too young to hold her bottle but can hold this nipple to her mouth on her own.

Hi Dr. Hornbostel- I just read the article about you in the Pittsburgh Gazette. I just wanted to send you a quick note to say THANK YOU for inventing such an amazing product! I had my son 3 years ago and had horrible latch issues and was pumping and didn’t feel I could connect with him when pumping. This is amazing! I am pregnant now and am totally buying one. Just wanted to say Kudos!

Dear Katherine, I just read about your brilliant new invention for breastfeeding mothers on Next Pittsburgh and I am almost moved to tears. As a working mother of twins, who struggled through a year of breastfeeding (where one twin readily latched and the other completely did not), while also going back to work after four months and pumping an average of 8-10x a day, I am shaken by how monumental your work is and will be to mothers everywhere. The number of steps that it reduces is mind-boggling... every night, I nursed one daughter and fed the other pumped milk from the previous pumping, and then pumped again to save up for the second twin's next feeding. This required so much additional planning, sterilizing, washing, and storage... at a time when physical, emotional, and mental energy is taxed beyond belief. Your work has allowed nursing mothers (and those who want to nurse but are having difficulties with latching) to miraculously eliminate so many steps and just ENJOY the time with their babies. This may sound melodramatic, but thank you from the bottom of my heart on behalf of all the other new and future mothers out there who will benefit from this technology. Your work is proof positive of the amazing things that happen when women can create, imagine, and enact solutions for the benefit of human kind. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I wish I had this with my preemie! My daughter was born 12 weeks premature. I was able to build up a supply of breast milk during the 9 weeks she spent in the hospital. Once she came home, I would have to breastfeed her, then bottle feed her to make sure she got enough and didn't just tire out. Then I would have to pump! Needless to say this was exhausting. This would be great for moms of preemies!
- Kim, Pittsburgh PA
As an exclusively pumping mom, I am SO happy that this product exists and wish it was already around back when I was doing triple feeds with my daughter and trying to balance pumping and feeding her. I am excited for all other pumping moms out there!
